On March 10, 2005, Dr. Kevin Scripture performed CustomVue LASIK on Steve Baker, a DJ for the Hit Country radio station Kicks96 in Richmond, Indiana. And Steve couldn't be happier - he now sees with 20/20 vision without glasses or contacts.

Come to Richmond Eye Center's free LASIK seminar on April 21, 2005 at 6:00pm and find out more about this procedure. You can talk to Steve and Dr. Scripture to have your questions answered in person.

View photos from Steve's LASIK procedure, or view his documentary videos on the right! (Videos will be online soon! Check back often to watch how quick and painless the procedure can be.)

Steve Baker and Dr. Scripture pose for a photo before the procedure.
First, Steve's blood pressure and vital signs are taken. He is also asked if he would like a mild sedative to help relax for the procedure.
Dr. Scripture positions Steve under the VISX laser.
The CustomVue LASIK procedure is performed, reshaping his corneas allowing light to focus properly in his eyes.
After the procedure, Dr. Scripture talks to Steve while he rests his eyes for a moment.
Before leaving the Richmond Surgicenter, Dr. Scripture checks Steve's eyes and discharges him.
Following the procedure, Steve will return home and rest for the day. The following day, he will return for another checkup, and will then attend followup appointments every 3 months to track his progress. The majority of his vision improvement will occur during the first day and night, and many patients will already see at 20/20 the day following surgery.
